Union Minister of Textiles, Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, in a video message appealed to overseas buying community and their representatives in India, on behalf of the 7 million crafts persons spread across craft clusters in India and 20,000 exporters who are part of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), not to cancel any order and assured that EPCH and CEPC will be working with them as her Ministry is working with both the Councils to ensure that at this time of crisis no one is left behind and all possible measures will be undertaken to stimulate growth in future. She also said that the Prime Minister of India has announced many measures to protect the rights and wages of the working fraternity and this is time for those who have enjoyed and commercialised the beauty of Indian crafts to step up....more

DGFT announces extension of FTP till 31st March 2021, Extension for MEIS

The Government of India, taking cognizance of EPCH's representations, have extended the FTP 2015-2020 by one year till 31st March 2021, hence giving extension to all the schemes including MEIS under the FTP. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH, said that the steps taken by the Govt. of India in these difficult times to rescue the exporters will surely boost the morale of the handicrafts exporting community and hoped such initiatives will help everyone sail through this crisis.....more

EPCH signs MOU with TMU Moradabad

EPCH signed an MOU with Tirthankar Mahavir University (TMU), Moradabad, to collaborate for MBA courses with specialisation in Handicrafts Export Management. The first session will commence from August 2020. 15 day Skill Training Program for Artmetalware Craft and Leather Craft

The 4th batch for the 15 days Skill Training Program for Artmetalware Craft Cluster in Jodhpur was inaugurated on 12th March 2020. On 7th March 2020, EPCH concluded its 2nd batch of 15 days Skill Training for the Leather Craft artisans. The 3rd and 4th batch of this 15 day Skill Development Training Program was also inaugurated on this day.....more
