A High Level Committee meeting headed by Mr. G K Pillai, former Secretary to Govt. of India & Chairman, RoDTEP, met the members of Export Promotion Councils to understand their manufacturing process, taxes and duties paid by them with reference to the new RoDTEP scheme. EPCH presented its member exporters case for RoDTEP (Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products), to make Indian products cost-competitive and create a level playing field for them in the global market. Skill Development & Training in full swing at Toy Craft Clusters - EPCH goes all out for ground work in preparation for India Toy Fair

In preparation towards the India Toy Fair Virtual, scheduled from 27th February to 2nd March 2021, EPCH is working on a strategised groundwork with Design & Technical Development Workshops at several toy making craft hubs throughout India.

The objective is to handhold artisans and crafts persons across region specific crafts, especially from MSME segments so that a comprehensive representation is presented at the upcoming show.....more

Technical & Skill Training - Tie & Dye, Leather Craft, Art Metalware, Jute Crafts, Metal Crafts and Fashion Jewellery

EPCH conducted several design and technical programs for various crafts. They are, a five months Integrated Design & Technical Development Program of tie & dye for 40 SC category artisans at Nagaur; 15 days Skill Development Training for leather craft in Barmer; 15 days Skill Training Program for the art metalware craft artisans at Jodhpur; a 60 days Handicrafts Technical Training Program on Jute Crafts for ST artisans at North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. 20 batches of 40 day Skill Development Programs under Jodhpur Mega Cluster Schemes were inaugurated in various locations and a 15 day Skill Training Program for art metalware artisans was organised at the Urban Haat, Jodhpur. RPL - Recognition of Prior Learning Type 4-Best in Class Employer Orientations and Assessments of 6 batches covering 300 wood engraving artisans at Mysore and 3 batches covering 150 hand embroiderers at Channapatna was also organised......more
