During 2004 a study namely �Feasibility Studies Surveys and Development of Business Plan for Handicrafts Sector� was sanctioned by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India under MAI scheme for the development of business plan for handicrafts sector.

On the basis of the reports and its recommendations, necessary action has been initiated for brand image promotion of handicrafts sector with the view to increase the growth rate of exports of handicrafts in world exports.
