Minister of Textiles, Govt. of India, visits TFC Jodhpur, interacts with region’s exporters
27th July 2024; Jodhpur, Rajasthan


Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles, Government of India, visited the Trade Facilitation Centre in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on 27th July 2024, marking his first visit after assuming charge as the Hon'ble Minister of Textiles. During his visit, the Hon'ble Minister interacted with member exporters, during which various issues pertaining to the growth and development of the handicraft sector were raise. In his address, Shri Giriraj Singh expressed his satisfaction in learning that EPCH has set an ambitious target of tripling exports by 2030. He assured that he would consider the requests made by handicraft exporters and coordinate with other ministries to find solutions. Sessions on Enhancing Competitiveness and EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) -Way Forward

In an effort to ensure sustainable manufacturing practices and enhance the competitiveness of its member exporters, EPCH collaborated with the CII Centre of Excellence for Competitiveness for SMEs.
