EPCH organised its 21st Handicrafts Export Awards Function with a vibrant ceremony on 9th January 2017, at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi. Union Minister of Textiles, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani presented 134 awards to handicraft exporters for their excellent export performance during the years 2013-14 and 2014-15. The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on Mr. Surinder Paul Khosla for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of handicrafts from Moradabad. The Special Commendation Awards (Institutional) were given to Jodhpur Handicrafts Exporters' Association (JHEA) and Bodoland Regional Apex Weavers & Artisans Co-operation Federation Ltd.(BRAWFED). M/s Designco and M/s C L Gupta Exports Ltd. of Moradabad got the Top Export Award Trophy for All Handicrafts for the years 2013-14 and 2014-15, respectively. ........more | |||||||||||

Aimed at unlocking manufacturing potential of textiles in the North East Region, the Ministry of Textiles organised the first ever “Investors Summit” exclusively for NER in association with Ministry of DONER on 29th to 30th January, 2017 at Shillong, Meghalaya. The event was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Textiles, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, in the presence of Additional Secretary, Textiles, Smt. Pushpa Subrahmanyam; and several dignitaries from the Ministry, the State Governments and industry representations. EPCH would facilitate as a Matchmaker between Producer Groups and Marketers by providing hand-holding to both the parties as a facilitator.
